make all the travel arrangements you need from international flights to
domestic flights at destination, accommodations, tours, car rentals, travel
insurance and I can even arrange for dinner reservations in Sydney or your own
private helicopter tour of Milford Sound in New Zealand!
I take the stress out of the planning process so you don’t
waste your valuable time doing research and dealing with the details. I’m at
your service during the planning process, while you are at destination if
needed and after you return so I can hear about your experience. I want to hear
your stories!
My goal is that you depart on your journey knowing that
every detail has been taken care of so you can travel with confidence and enjoy
your journey to the fullest, and that you return relaxed and inspired!
About the name Manawa Journeys!
Manawa is actually the Maori word for “heart”. The Maori are the indigenous people of New
Zealand and New Zealand happens to be my favourite country to visit and it
holds a special place in my heart. And the word “Journey” because I believe it
is about the journey and not the destination.
“Follow the path of the heart and discover it’s only the
Journey that matters.”
About me!
I’m a firm believer that travel is a great way to discover
the many wonders of the world and more importantly the wonders within yourself! I’m passionate about travel
and all the wonderful things the world has to offer, whether it is amazing
scenery, colourful culture, the people, spiritual connection or mouth watering
cuisine paired with just the right wine! I just want to share this with everyone and
that is why I love to design travel experiences for you built around your
passions and what you feel connected to.
Photography is also big part of who I am as love to take
pictures of the world around me and it all started with my travel
experiences. Whether, it is the most
delicate leaf, a sea lion in the Galapagos or the incredible scenery which lies
around every corner in New Zealand I feel compelled to record it and share it!
My Background
I have a long background in the travel industry which
started with being a flight attendant with a charter airline in Montreal, and
then variety of roles (Check In, Gate Agent, and Baggage Agent) with Canadian
Airlines at the Ottawa Airport. After
Canadian merged with Air Canada, I took some time off and had my children and
eventually returned to the work world as a travel agent, which I’ve been doing
for close to 6 years now. I guess you could say travel kind of stuck with me!
I have had the opportunity to experience many different
destinations. Here are some of the countries I have visited some multiple
times: New Zealand, Australia, Ecuador/Galapagos, Brazil, Mexico, Costa Rica,
England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, France, Spain and Italy.
I am a Kiwi Specialist, Aussie Specialist, Peru Specialist
and Ireland Specialist.
